Australian bowler Aaron Wilson advances toward third Commonwealth Games gold

Aaron Wilson of Australia remains unbeaten in the men’s singles at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, putting him on track for a third consecutive gold medal. He defeated the Cook Islands’ Royden Aperau 10‑1, 10‑2 and earlier beat Mark McGreal of the Isle of Man, extending his perfect record in the group stage. Wilson, who won gold in 2018 (Gold Coast) and 2022 (Birmingham), would join England’s David Bryant as the only bowler to claim three successive singles titles.

Wilson said he is focused on recovery and preparation ahead of the semi‑finals, expecting another match to secure his place in the finals. The Australian women’s pair also posted a dominant win, keeping their semi‑final hopes alive.
