Australian Community Media to sell Sydney property for $25 million

Australian Community Media (ACM) is selling its former Fairfax Rural Press facility in North Richmond, Sydney, in an effort to raise approximately $25 million and strengthen its balance sheet.

The sale involves two property deals. A smaller portion of the site has reportedly been sold for about $5 million, while a second, larger 10.6-hectare estate—formerly the headquarters for The Land newspaper—is being offered for roughly $20 million.

Co-owners Antony Catalano and Alex Waislitz purchased ACM for $115 million in 2019. Since the acquisition, the company has been selling non-core assets to reduce corporate debt. While ACM’s parent company, 20 Cashews Pty Ltd, reported a net loss of $7.9 million and negative operating cash flow for the 2025 financial year, directors stated the business remains a going concern.
