Australian couple builds $40 million real estate portfolio

Victor Kumar and his wife, Reshmi Kumar, have built a real estate portfolio in Australia consisting of 103 properties valued at approximately $40 million USD. Starting with only a few thousand dollars over 30 years ago, the couple has utilized financial leverage to expand their holdings.

Their diverse portfolio includes residential homes, commercial real estate, apartments, and land suitable for secondary dwellings, as well as joint venture investments. The rental income from these properties generates roughly $2.1 million USD annually. Victor Kumar noted that his strategy involves using existing assets to secure bank loans for further acquisitions while avoiding market trends and excessive reliance on tax incentives.
