Australian Culinary Archive project misses Powerhouse Parramatta deadline
The Australian Culinary Archive, a $1.5 million taxpayer-funded project, has failed to meet its scheduled publication deadline intended to coincide with the opening of Powerhouse Parramatta on November 7.
Julie Gibbs, who has been working on the project for seven years, was previously tasked with producing a landmark 1,000-page book documenting the archive. Although the project was described as ‘nearing completion’ in October of last year, a spokesperson for the museum stated that the publication is now expected to launch in 2027.
