Australian dairy and cropping farms hit the sales market
Several agricultural properties have entered the sales market in Victoria and South Australia, ranging from large-scale dairy operations to cropping farms.
In Victoria, the Otway Milk operation in the Otways region is on the market. Spanning 651 hectares, the property includes 700 Holstein Friesian cows and a 50-unit rotary dairy. It is expected to sell for more than $20 million and supplies Coles. Additionally, the Buffalo farm in South Gippsland is listed for approximately $2.94 million, offering an 85-hectare starter operation with an 18-unit swing-over dairy.
In South Australia, two cropping farms near Cummins have been listed for sale. The Howell family is selling the 576-hectare Lakeview farm at Kapinnie, which utilizes a wheat, canola, and beans rotation. Nearby, the Doudle family is listing the 404-hectare Gumeracha farm at Mount Hope, currently sown with canola and barley. Both properties are located in areas with reliable annual rainfall.
