Australian documentary ‘Mockbuster’ opens nationwide

Australian filmmaker Anthony Frith’s documentary *Mockbuster* will debut in cinemas across Australia on 27 August, distributed by Umbrella Entertainment. The film follows Frith’s six‑day, low‑budget shoot of a rebooted B‑movie for The Asylum, capturing the chaotic process of making a mockbuster in suburban Adelaide.

*Mockbuster* previously screened at the Adelaide Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award for Best Feature Documentary. The documentary also features appearances by the RackaRacka brothers, Danny and Michael Philippou, and was produced with support from Screen Australia, the South Australian Film Corporation and the Adelaide Film Festival Investment Fund.
