Australian Football League expands 2026 live broadcasts for VFL, VFLW and hosts historic AFLW Australia‑Ireland clash

The AFL announced that every 2026 Victorian Football League (VFL) and VFL Women's (VFLW) match will be streamed live and free via AFL.com.au and the AFL Live App, with additional coverage on Kayo Sports, ABC, the Seven Network and SEN. The 21‑round season will feature 18 matches per team and a finals series culminating in a Grand Final in September.

In August, the league staged a historic AFLW international match at North Sydney Oval, pitting Australia against Ireland. Australia won 91‑41, with Irish star Dayna Finn of Mayo highlighted for her performance and supported by Galway GAA player Robert Finnerty. The event underscored the growing ties between AFLW and Irish Gaelic football.
