Australian gold miners boost resources: New Murchison expands, GoldArc drill hits
New Murchison Gold announced a 47% increase in the Garden Gully resource at its Meekatharra project in Western Australia. The JORC‑compliant update shows 4.42 million tonnes grading 2.5 g/t gold, delivering 359,300 ounces, or 409,100 ounces when production to April 2026 is included. Measured and indicated categories now contain 71% of the ounces, with new maiden resources added at the Lydia and Abbotts prospects and revised estimates for Crown Prince and Cloudkicker.
GoldArc Resources reported elevated gold grades from the first phase of grade‑control drilling at its Mt Stirling project near Leonora, WA. Highlights include 21 m at 2.36 g/t Au, 16 m at 2.13 g/t Au and higher‑grade zones up to 3.32 g/t Au. Results are being used to update mining models ahead of anticipated approval of a Mining and Development Closure Plan. Additional drilling at Mt Stirling Well returned up to 6.06 g/t Au. The program is fully funded by partner BML Ventures under a 50:50 profit‑share arrangement.
