Australian man arrested for damaging Bali pub billboard

An Australian man, identified as JDB, has been arrested in Bali after smashing a glass billboard at Gabet's Pub Restaurant & Karaoke in Pecatu. The incident occurred on Tuesday, September 8, at approximately 1:25 p.m. local time.

CCTV footage revealed that the 41-year-old man first threw a drink before approaching the front of the establishment, causing a disturbance, and throwing a rock at the glass billboard, which shattered it. Following the incident, the man fled the scene on a black Yamaha XMAX motorcycle.

South Kuta Police identified and arrested the suspect on Wednesday morning after reviewing footage and interviewing witnesses. During questioning, JDB admitted to the actions, stating that stress regarding family problems caused him to lose emotional control. He apologized to the pub management, and police facilitated an amicable settlement between both parties.
