Australian miners ramp up exploration at Gorge, Comstock and Mulga Tank projects

GEO Exploration has begun a 2026 work program at the Gorge Project in Western Australia, deploying field crews, LiDAR, magnetic and radiometric surveys and a soil geochemical survey to refine target areas ahead of a maiden drill program.

Aureka Limited started an infill diamond drilling campaign at its St Arnaud Comstock gold project in Victoria, planning roughly 1,000 m of drilling across six holes to validate historic results and boost confidence in its JORC resource.

Stelar Metals commenced fieldwork at the Hill of Leaders tungsten project in the Northern Territory, conducting mapping and surface sampling over a 2 km strike and preparing for a 3,000 m reverse‑circulation drill program slated for July.

Western Mines Group reported continued drilling at the Mulga Tank nickel sulphide project in Western Australia, with recent assay results showing broad zones of mineralisation, including high‑grade intervals, and new reverse‑circulation holes targeting near‑surface extensions.
