Australian miners Trek Metals and Ballymore launch new exploration programs

Trek Metals announced visual manganese mineralisation from six additional reverse‑circulation drill holes at the Kuro discovery within its Christmas Creek Project in Western Australia. The holes intersected significant massive and semi‑massive manganese zones, including an 11‑metre interval of visual massive Mn from 5 m depth. CEO Derek Marshall said the correlation between induced‑polarisation chargeability anomalies and the mineralised intercepts marks a pivotal step in unlocking a world‑class manganese discovery, with assay results pending and further drilling planned.

Ballymore Resources began a 2.5‑kilometre deep‑penetrating magnetotelluric (MT) survey at its Dittmer Project in Queensland, funded by a A$383,000 grant. The survey targets a concealed porphyry copper‑gold system beneath the historic Dittmer gold mine, complementing ongoing underground development and high‑grade gold drilling. Data acquisition is expected to finish this month, with processing and target ranking slated for the third quarter of 2026.
