Australian mining companies launch new mineral drilling campaigns
Two Australian mining companies have launched new exploration campaigns targeting diverse mineral systems.
Red Hill Minerals has commenced a 1,700m diamond drilling program near Broken Hill in New South Wales. The campaign targets the Furiosa and Dementus sites within its 860-square-kilometre project. The Furiosa target aims to test a previously untested copper-gold system along a prospective fault structure, while the Dementus target focuses on Broken Hill-type lead-zinc-silver mineralisation.
In the Northern Territory, Stelar Metals is preparing for its first-ever bedrock drilling at the Hill of Leaders tungsten project. The company is initiating a 3,500m reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign to determine if tungsten mineralisation identified through surface sampling and historical workings continues at depth beneath a 2km mineralised corridor.
