Australian mining firms Delta Lithium and Javelin Minerals advance exploration
Delta Lithium is advancing exploration activities in Western Australia, with plans to drill six new reconnaissance targets at its Yinnetharra project in the fourth quarter of 2026. The Yinnetharra project currently holds a mineral resource estimate of 21.9 million tonnes at 1% lithium oxide and 75 parts per million tantalum pentoxide. Additionally, metallurgical test work is progressing on a one-tonne composite from the Mt Ida project.
Separately, Javelin Minerals has completed its first deep diamond test at the Coogee North gold-copper target. The drill hole reached 819.8 meters, intersecting a sequence of volcanic and intrusive rocks consistent with the historic Coogee open pit. While laboratory assays are expected in approximately 8 to 10 weeks, the geological findings have prompted the company to plan follow-up drilling to further investigate a large magnetic anomaly.
