Australian Motorsport Weekend Kicks Off August with 30 Events

Around 30 Motorsport Australia‑approved competitions launch the first weekend of August, spanning the nation’s states and territories. New South Wales and Queensland host the busiest calendars with seven and eight events respectively, while South Australia adds four meetings, Victoria three, Tasmania and the Northern Territory two each, and the Australian Capital Territory and Western Australia one each.

Western Australia’s sole event is the high‑profile Repco Supercars Championship at MotorMall Wanneroo Raceway, dubbed the Bosch Perth Super 440, expected to draw thousands of fans over three days. Other highlights include hillclimbs and khanacrosses organized by clubs such as the Southern District Motorsports Association in Canberra, Barrier Sporting Car Club in New South Wales, and the MG Car Club in Queensland, as well as numerous motorkhanas and “Come & Try” sessions across the country.

The schedule blends national‑level racing with grassroots competitions, offering a diverse range of motorsport experiences for participants and spectators alike.
