Australian pilgrims arrive in Istanbul for Patriarch Bartholomew's 35th anniversary

A group of 250 pilgrims from Australia has arrived in Istanbul to participate in celebrations marking the 35th anniversary of the election of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

Upon their arrival, the pilgrims were met at the airport by Archbishop Makarios of Australia, who welcomed them on behalf of the Patriarch, who is currently visiting Bulgaria. The group will participate in various commemorative events, including a special presentation titled ‘Life was the Light’ scheduled for October 22, to honor the Patriarch's 35 years of service.
