Australian Public Service announces various senior appointments

Several key appointments and promotions have been announced within the Australian Public Service and related international bodies. Jack Simpson and Cale Woods have been promoted to senior executive lawyers at the Australian Government Solicitor (AGS). Additionally, Treasurer Jim Chalmers announced that Amanda Sayegh has been nominated for the position of executive director at the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Within the Department of Defence, Samantha Ring has been appointed Assistant Secretary of the Defence Digital Group Commercial. Christie Renton will lead the Environment Policy Branch at the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, while Steven Berka has been promoted to Assistant Commissioner Technology at the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

Foreign Minister Penny Wong also announced changes to the Advisory Board of the Centre for Australia-India Relations. New appointments include Robin Khuda, Faz Pollard, and Professor Veena Sahajwalla Ao, while Amrit Gill, Catriona Jackson, Mitu Bhowmick Lange AM, and Amit Singh have been reappointed to the board to support strategic partnerships between Australia and India.
