Cruise discounts and contests target Australian travelers

Avalon Waterways announced Fly Free offers for Australian travellers, providing return international airfares and savings of up to $1,400 per couple on selected European river cruises booked by 30 October. The offers apply to itineraries such as Magnificent Europe (Amsterdam‑Budapest) and Romantic Rhine, and include the line’s Panorama Suites and Avalon Choice excursions.

APT Luxury Travel partnered with Cruise Passenger for a contest that will award one winner a 15‑day Magnificent Europe river cruise for two, valued at about $43,590 AUD. The prize includes a Main Deck Category A cabin, return economy flights from any Australian capital (up to $3,000 per person), all‑inclusive dining, premium beverages and exclusive shore‑side experiences.

Ponant Explorations launched a limited‑time promotion offering up to $3,000 off selected voyages close to Australia and New Zealand. Savings apply to 2027 Kimberley and West Coast Odyssey departures aboard Le Soléa and Le Jacques Cartier, as well as Subantarctic New Zealand itineraries on Le Soléa.

A separate promotion provides savings for solo travellers on a Murray River cruise, though details were not disclosed.
