Australian Rules Football: Regional league results and historic wins

Various regional Australian Rules Football competitions have concluded their recent seasons with historic results. In the North West Football League (NWFL) Women's competition, a rare four-way tie occurred for the best and fairest award, with Courtney Hingston, Emma Pittman, Hannah Lee, and Emilie Saward all finishing with 15 votes.

In the Darwin Football Association, Queenstown secured the 2026 premiership by defeating Somerset 81 to 28. The victory is notable as the Crows finished fourth on the ladder before winning the title, a feat not seen in the league since 2010.

In the VFL, the Tasmania Devils' inaugural season ended with a 101-74 loss to Essendon at North Hobart Oval. Despite a strong performance from Bailey Boag, who recorded 40 disposals, the Devils were unable to overcome an Essendon side featuring 18 AFL-listed players.

Additionally, Wynyard secured a spot in the NWFL Women's grand final following a 31-point victory over Ulverstone, aided by the return of Tasmania Devils under-age players Ella Moodie and Bali Tuxworth.
