Senator Malcolm Roberts of One Nation shared on X a photograph of a notorious antisemitic mural titled “Freedom for Humanity”, depicting caricatured financiers and a pyramid with an eye. Jewish leaders, including the Executive Council of Australian Jewry and the Anti‑Defamation Commission, condemned the post as promoting classic antisemitic tropes and urged Roberts to delete it and repudiate the imagery.

The controversy sparked calls for Roberts’ resignation from Independent MP Allegra Spender and prompted One Nation leader Pauline Hanson to be urged to act. Party figure Barnaby Joyce distanced himself from Roberts’ conspiracy‑theory endorsements, rejecting the idea of “carpeting” the senator and stating that events such as the Sandy Hook massacre and 9/11 were not false‑flag operations.
