Australian tourist Djanaya Hampton avoids human trafficking in Paris

Djanaya Hampton, a 30‑year‑old woman from Perth, was on a solo two‑week birthday trip to Paris when she was approached near the Eiffel Tower by two men in designer clothing. The men questioned her, invited her to a house party and forced a photograph, making her feel she was about to be trafficked. After refusing their advances, Hampton fled to a nearby café, contacted a friend in Australia and was later assisted by a Spanish‑speaking security guard. The Australian Embassy arranged for her to return home early, citing concerns for her safety.
