Australia's lottery prizes total $1.5 billion in FY26, Victoria leads with most wins

Several postcodes stood out as lottery hotspots: Melbourne’s CBD (3000) and Cairns‑Earlville (4870) each sold four winning tickets, and smaller outlets in Western Australia and New South Wales also produced multiple Division One wins.

The data shows that lottery success was spread across the nation, with new millionaires emerging in every state and territory, highlighting the random nature of the draws despite occasional postcode clusters.
