Australis Cruises ships dock simultaneously in Punta Arenas

The expedition cruise ships Stella Australis and Ventus Australis completed their first simultaneous docking of the 2026/2027 season at Muelle Arturo Prat in Punta Arenas, Chile.

Both vessels are part of the Australis Cruises fleet and share similar specifications, including 100 cabins, a capacity for 210 passengers, and a crew of 65. Each ship measures 89 meters in length. The Ventus Australis represented an investment exceeding USD 27 million and was constructed at the Asenav shipyards in Valdivia.

Australis Cruises operates between the ports of Punta Arenas, Chile, and Ushuaia, Argentina, navigating the Strait of Magellan and Beagle Channel to Cape Horn. The vessels are specifically designed to navigate the shallow waters and narrow fjords of Tierra del Fuego, areas inaccessible to larger cruise ships.
