Austria and Germany host cultural events probing intimacy, power and AI

In Innsbruck, Austria, the KINKY?! event series staged a panel discussion on July 24, 2026 that examined how societal power structures shape private relationships. Topics included sexual self‑determination, consent, queerness, BDSM and the effects of racism, sexism, classism and other forms of discrimination on intimacy. Speakers were Kadir Özdemir of Prisma Queer Migrants, Rubina, and Ben Russell, with moderation by Ágnes Czingulszki.

In Hamburg, Germany, the Kampnagel Summer Festival ran from August 5‑23, 2026 under the motto “Hope”. Its Plan7 programme featured “Future Tonguexxx” by Ania Nowak, which explored the influence of artificial intelligence on intimate relationships. The festival also presented Ayelen Parolin’s “Irresistible Revolution”, Nesterval’s “Das Schiff” performed on the MS Stubnitz, and a series of talks on cultural resilience and optimism.

Both events highlighted contemporary debates on intimacy, power dynamics and emerging technologies within the cultural sphere.
