Austria expands urban art and youth cultural initiatives

Cultural initiatives for youth and urban art are expanding in Austria. In Vienna, the ‘Wienerwand’ network is growing by five new locations, including a new site in Resselpark at Karlsplatz. This expansion, managed by WIENXTRA and supported by the City of Vienna, provides legal spaces for young people to practice graffiti and engage in urban art through workshops.

In Wiener Neustadt, the BOLD ARTS FESTIVAL is scheduled to take place from October 3 to October 17, 2026. The festival will transform the city into an open-air gallery featuring street art, urban art, and interactive spray sessions. Additionally, the Triebwerk youth and culture center will host the ‘Newcomer Night’ on November 28, 2026, to provide a platform for emerging musical talent and regional bands.
