Austria fish species face high endangerment rates
In observance of World Fish Day on August 22, the Haus des Meeres in Vienna is highlighting the plight of threatened freshwater organisms. According to the institution, more than 45 percent of fish species in Austria are currently considered endangered due to human-driven factors including overfishing, water pollution, and climate change.
