Austria hosts 33rd Restaurant Week with 100 participating venues

The 33rd Restaurant Week in Austria is set to begin, featuring 100 participating restaurants across eight federal states. Running from August 31 to September 6, the event includes 44 establishments with Michelin stars (Haubenlokale) offering specially curated menus at fixed prices.

Organizers expect approximately 15,000 guests to participate. Franz Bernthaler, Managing Director of the Culinarius Group and initiator of the event, noted that the gastronomy sector faced challenges during recent heatwaves, which impacted lunch business and consumer behavior. The initiative aims to provide a positive impulse for the industry as it transitions into the autumn culinary season.
