Critics, including BBC commentator Steve Cram and agents for athletes like Amy Hunt, have pointed to high ticket prices—reaching up to £150 for premium seats—as a primary deterrent for fans. Additional complaints have been raised regarding the cost of food, beverages, and transport, such as park-and-ride fees.

Organizers from Birmingham 2026 have defended the pricing structure, stating that many tickets remain affordable and that sales have met certain targets. They noted that attendance is expected to increase for the weekend sessions, with some days approaching full capacity.
