Austrian Airlines denies reports of ending Innsbruck flights

Austrian Airlines (AUA) refuted a report by the Tirol edition of the Kronen Zeitung that it would completely withdraw from Innsbruck. The airline said the claim was "not factual" and confirmed that the winter 2026/27 schedule will retain the same flight programme as the previous winter. AUA added that decisions about service after the winter schedule are still pending, but it is in "close and good exchange" with Innsbruck Airport.

The disputed report had cited a confidential source claiming AUA would cease all line flights after the summer schedule, including the Vienna connection, and suggested a virtual Tyrolean airline could be created in partnership with Germany's Avanti Air and a local investor. AUA rejected these rumors, stating no such plans have been made.
