Austrian Airlines introduces Stiegl-Goldbräu as new in-flight beer
Austrian Airlines has updated its in-flight beverage selection by introducing Stiegl-Goldbräu as its new signature beer. The Salzburg-based brewery replaces the previous partner, Gösser, as part of a strategy to feature regional Austrian brands in its catering services.
The Stiegl-Goldbräu will be served in all long-haul travel classes, including Business, Premium Economy, and Economy Class. On short-haul flights, the beer will be available in Business Class. To suit the airline's branding, the beer is served in a specially designed 0.33-liter red can.
This partnership aims to increase the international visibility of the Stiegl brand while allowing Austrian Airlines to differentiate its service through regional culinary offerings. The move comes amid intense competition in the European aviation sector, where airlines frequently use specific service components to profile themselves.
