Austrian athletes achieved notable results at recent international sporting competitions. In Shanghai, track cyclists Heimo Fugger and Maximilian Schmidbauer secured ninth place in the Madison final at the Track Cycling World Championships. This performance serves as a foundation for their Olympic qualification efforts.

In gymnastics, Austrian male gymnasts Vetter and Miggitsch both qualified for multiple finals. Vetter, the sole Austrian gymnast traveling to the World Championships in Rotterdam, qualified for the floor exercise and horizontal bar finals. Miggitsch secured positions in the floor exercise and vault finals. Additionally, Vincent Lindpointner placed 13th in the rings qualification.

In women's gymnastics, a young Austrian trio consisting of Clara Stelzer, Katharina Gschiel, and Collien Mörz competed at a World Cup in Hungary to gain international experience. Gschiel achieved the group's best result with a 22nd-place finish on the balance beam.
