Austrian castles to host cultural and music festivals

Various cultural and musical events are scheduled to take place at historic Austrian castles in September 2026.

On September 4, Schloss Katzenberg in Kirchdorf am Inn will host a diverse cultural program celebrating the arts of the Innviertel region. The event features a variety of musical acts, including the jazz trio ‘Dream of a Jerry’s Tree’, the funk band ‘Mary Jane’s Soundgarden’, and the Peter Mayer Hofkapelle. The program also includes film screenings, art workshops for youth, castle tours, and museum presentations.

On September 12, Schloss Lamberg in Steyr will host the FM4 Unlimited event, focusing on electronic music. The festival will feature various genres ranging from techno to lo-fi house, with performances by artists such as Anna Ullrich, Joyce Muniz, and Jugo Ürdens in the castle park. The event includes light projections and a ‘secret floor’ featuring additional musical highlights.
