Austrian cultural venues announce 2026/2027 performance seasons
Cultural institutions in Austria have announced their programming for the 2026/2027 season, featuring a diverse array of dance, music, and multidisciplinary performances.
The Festspielhaus St. Pölten will host a variety of contemporary dance works, including the Austrian premiere of (LA)HORDE’s ‘Après moi, le déluge’, which addresses modern social and political crises. The program also includes a retrospective of Mourad Merzouki’s work, ‘Kaléidoscope’, and a performance by Opera Ballet Vlaanderen featuring the works of Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker.
In Burgenland, the Kulturzentren Burgenland will launch a season spanning genres from Austropop to classical music. Highlights at the Kultur Kongress Zentrum Eisenstadt include a sold-out 75th-birthday concert by singer-songwriter Peter Cornelius, a film and chamber music collaboration by ClassicLounge, and a performance by Sicilian singer-songwriter Pippo Pollina.
