Franz Bibiza's 'Soda Zitron' song lifts non‑alcoholic drink to German chart success

Austrian pop star Franz Bibiza released the single “Soda Zitron,” a tribute to the non‑alcoholic beverage Soda Zitrone made from carbonated water and fresh lemon juice. The track appears on his album Rocknrollstar, which this week entered the German album charts at number 14 – the highest position Bibiza has ever achieved there. Bibiza, 27, is also known as “the Falco of Gen Z.”

In France the same drink is called “Citron pressé.” Bibiza previously reached the German singles chart for one week with the song “Galopp,” a collaboration with the artist Ikkimel that peaked at number 93. The new song and its accompanying pop‑culture buzz have helped popularise the soda across Austria, Germany and France.
