Austrian Post expands with Yelllow mobile brand amid Swiss ePost service issues
The Austrian Post AG reported a 1.544 billion‑euro revenue for the first half of 2026, despite a challenging market marked by rising digitalisation and EU tariffs on parcels from China. The company highlighted the launch of its own mobile brand, Yelllow, on 1 April, which has already attracted a five‑digit customer base and targets 300,000 users within five years. Expansion continues with the opening of the 3,000th post office and a plan to grow the network to more than 3,100 locations by year‑end.
In Switzerland, the ePost Service AG introduced the “digital letter” as a basic‑service offering on 1 April, priced at 3.50 CHF per item. The service has drawn criticism on Google, receiving a 2.9‑star rating after users reported PDF and delivery‑confirmation files that could not be opened for days, and support requests that remained unanswered for up to two weeks. The company points to a paid “Scanning Service” and a promised 24‑hour response time, but customers say the reality falls short of the promised digital efficiency.
