Austrian school teams claim national titles in athletics and swimming

The HIB Saalfelden team won the Austrian under‑12 athletics federal championship in St. Pölten on 16‑17 June, securing the title with strong performances across the squad. Notable athletes included Johanna Machreich, who placed second in the individual ranking, and Blanka Sellei‑Bottka, who posted a leading 3:05 minutes in the 1000 m. The team’s victory underscores its dominance in Austrian school sport.

At the Austrian team and multi‑event swimming competition in Maria Enzersdorf, the SC Steyr youth swimmers finished tenth overall among the nation’s best clubs. Hannah Feigl delivered the highest individual score with 310 World‑Aquatics points in the 100 m freestyle, while Zoe Schneiderbauer and other teammates contributed across six individual events and two relays. The result highlights the club’s strong youth development program.
