Austrian State Governments Approve Multi‑Million Euro Funding for Kindergartens and Local Projects

The Upper Austria (Oö) state government allocated about €2.4 million in subsidies to build or finish kindergartens and crèches in 18 municipalities. An additional €82,100 was earmarked for tourism and gastronomy improvements benefiting two businesses in Eggelsberg and Pabneukirchen. Home‑care services received roughly €8.4 million to support house‑bound patients, while €206 000 was set aside for de‑sealing concrete surfaces in three locales, and €116 500 for traffic‑safety road works in Aspach and Linz.

In Lower Austria (NÖ), the education fund’s board approved investments for 67 school and kindergarten projects, covering new construction, renovations, extensions and equipment purchases. Several projects exceed €100 000, including expansions of kindergartens in Obergrafendorf and Poysdorf, with increased funding rates under the region’s child‑education initiative. The funding is intended to modernise educational facilities and bolster local employment and economic growth.
