Austrian tourist found on A94 motorway near Schwindegg

An Austrian tourist from Tyrol was found on the A94 motorway near Schwindegg, Germany, in the early hours of September 27. The 28-year-old man, dressed in traditional costume, had been attending a festival in the B12-Arena.

At approximately 3:15 a.m., a driver spotted the man waving from the center strip of the highway. Mühldorf motorway police located him near the Schwindegg exit about 30 minutes later. The individual had a blood alcohol level of approximately 1.9 per mille but was found to be uninjured.

Reports suggest the man may have become disoriented after a foam party at the Haager Herbstfest. It is believed that traffic noise may have misled him into thinking the motorway led to his hotel. Police eventually escorted him safely to his hotel room.
