Austria’s Summer Business Festivals Draw Hundreds of Entrepreneurs

The Junge Wirtschaft (JW) summer festival “Orange Edition” in Gmunden attracted more than 120 young entrepreneurs for networking, live music and a pub quiz, with sponsorship from Sparkasse OÖ and BNP Steuerberatung.

In Lower Austria, three large summer events were held, including the Hypo NÖ gala at Grafenegg, which hosted over 1,100 guests from business, politics and society. The evening featured a performance by the Tonkünstler-Orchester, appearances by senior officials such as General Staff Chief Rudolf Striedinger, and announcements of upcoming labour‑cost cuts and regulatory reforms aimed at easing bureaucracy. A meeting of the Economic Federation (WBNÖ) at Schloss Haindorf highlighted the region’s economic challenges and prospects, while the Niederösterreichische Versicherung bid farewell to long‑time sales director Bernhard Lackner, who received a state honour.
