AutArt donates creative materials to Siena child neuropsychiatry unit

The social promotion association AutArt APS has donated a collection of creative materials to the child neuropsychiatry department of the Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria Senese in Italy. The donation, titled “Color Aut – Storie che prendono colore,” consists of ten illustrated booklets designed for coloring.

The booklets were created through inclusive workshops organized by AutArt, where children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder participated in building lightboards and creating the drawings featured in the collection. The initiative aims to provide hospital patients with opportunities for leisure, creativity, and personal expression to make their stay more welcoming.

Andrea Fagiolini, director of the Integrated Mental Health and Sensory Organs Department at Aou Senese, noted that the project highlights how creativity and active participation from youth with autism can serve as a gesture of solidarity toward other young patients in difficulty.
