Autódromo do Estoril appoints new management team

A new administration will take charge of CE – Circuito Estoril, S. A. starting September 1. Paulo Toste will serve as president and the sole executive administrator. The new board also includes Pedro Ventura, a member of the Resolution Fund's Steering Committee, and Vanda Marques Valadares as a non-executive member.

The new leadership faces significant challenges regarding the future of the Estoril circuit. Key tasks include managing a market consultation process to establish surface rights for the circuit's land and evaluating various models for the infrastructure's future operation. The facility is currently facing financial pressure and a lack of investment, evidenced by the closure of Stand A.

Pedro Ventura brings extensive experience in complex financial restructuring and public governance, having worked on major Portuguese banking cases. The administration must work to ensure the financial sustainability of the infrastructure while the state's long-term plans for the circuit remain undecided.
