Authentic Baroque Ensemble to perform parent-child theater in Pingtung

As part of the 2026 South Wind Music Festival, the Pingtung County Government will present the Authentic Baroque Ensemble’s production, ‘2026 Parent-Child Music Theater: Good Mother’s Stamp.’ The performances are scheduled for September 19 at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM at the Pingtung Performing Arts Center Experimental Theater.

The production follows a character named Xiao Wei on a fantasy journey to find his mother, transforming everyday parental frictions into a whimsical adventure. The ensemble aims to integrate Baroque music into daily life by combining period instruments with drama, puppets, traditional shadow puppetry, large-scale picture books, and interactive musical games.

Since 2012, the ensemble has specialized in adapting literary classics, Greek mythology, and historical events into musical theater. This specific production is designed to allow children to engage with classical music through storytelling and imagination while providing a shared experience for families.
