Authentic Brands Group acquires majority stake in Drake’s OVO

Authentic Brands Group has acquired a 51% majority stake in the intellectual property of October’s Very Own (OVO), the lifestyle and streetwear brand co-founded by rapper Drake. Under the new ownership structure, Drake will retain a 44% stake and continue to lead the brand’s creative direction. Vince Holding Corp. will hold the remaining 5% of the IP.

Vince Holding Corp. has also acquired OVO’s operating business. As the brand’s core global apparel and retail licensee, Vince will manage production, merchandising, logistics, product development, and retail operations. This partnership aims to scale OVO globally by expanding its e-commerce presence, increasing its brick-and-mortar footprint, and launching a wholesale business starting in 2027.

While the business operations will be managed by Vince, OVO’s creative and design teams will remain based in Toronto to maintain the brand’s original identity. The brand currently operates 12 flagship stores across Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
