Authentic Brands Group announces new strategic partnerships

Authentic Brands Group has announced two new strategic partnerships involving its brand portfolio.

In Mexico, Authentic Brands Group will partner with Union Group to manage the Lee brand. This agreement follows Authentic’s acquisition of Lee, which is expected to close in the second half of 2026. Union Group will act as the strategic operating partner, overseeing product development, sourcing, retail, wholesale distribution, and e-commerce within the Mexican market. This collaboration builds on a decade-long relationship between the two companies involving brands such as Nautica, Reebok, and Quiksilver.

Additionally, Authentic Brands Group is partnering with Leomil to launch a licensed Care Bears footwear collection in 2027. The line will include various styles, ranging from children’s light-up sneakers to adult footwear, to coincide with the 45th anniversary of the Care Bears brand. The collection is scheduled to be released through major retailers across Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA), and Latin America.
