Authenticity and Modernity Party denies corruption allegations against Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid
The Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) has issued a formal denial regarding allegations that the wife of Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, a member of the party’s collective leadership and Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, benefited from a printing contract within the ministry.
The party described these claims as false and baseless, characterizing them as part of a smear campaign and extortion attempt by certain individuals claiming to be journalists. PAM emphasized that public procurement processes are standard administrative procedures necessary for managing public facilities and executing ministry programs, and that these contracts are subject to legal frameworks, competition, and oversight.
Furthermore, the party noted that the management of public funds is subject to a legal and regulatory system, including oversight by the Court of Accounts. PAM stated it reserves the right to take legal action against anyone proven to be involved in spreading false news, making unfounded accusations, or engaging in defamation.
