Authenticity and Modernity Party denies RNI recruitment allegations
The Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) has issued a sharp rebuttal to accusations made by its government coalition partner, the National Rally of Independents (RNI). The RNI had previously alleged that PAM was using undue pressure and recruitment tactics to attract its MPs and local elected officials.
In an official statement, PAM denied all allegations of coercion, asserting that the movement of political figures into its ranks is a matter of individual freedom and constitutional right. The party emphasized that it attracts talent through dialogue and persuasion regarding its political vision rather than through pressure.
To counter the RNI's criticisms, PAM highlighted past political shifts, noting that during the 2021 elections, the RNI itself recruited more than 17 MPs from five different parties, including six members from PAM. The party concluded by stating it would not accept lessons from any other party regarding the respect of law or institutional political rules.
