Authenticity and Modernity Party members protest Hajoubi nomination

Hundreds of members of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) in the Fez-Meknes region have submitted a petition to the party's political bureau opposing the nomination of MP Khadija Hajoubi for the regional women's list.

The petition, signed by between 318 and 360 members, cites several grievances, including an alleged incident of physical and moral assault by Hajoubi against a party counselor that resulted in no significant disciplinary action. Signatories also criticized her management style as “authoritarian and exclusionary,” arguing it contradicts democratic party values.

Furthermore, the members raised concerns regarding regional justice, noting that Fez has benefited from such nominations in previous terms at the expense of other provinces in the region. The group warned that maintaining this nomination could lead to widespread resignations and withdrawals from the party ahead of upcoming legislative elections.
