Author Leslie Colburn to release new children's book Jilly Goat

Children's author Leslie Colburn is releasing a new book titled ‘Jilly Goat’ on September 1. The story follows a goat named Jilly who faints whenever she is frightened, leading to social exclusion from other goats. The narrative focuses on themes of perseverance and the ability to keep moving forward despite setbacks.

Inspired by Colburn's mother, the book is part of a collection of seven inspirational children's books. A book launch and open house will be held at The Cottage Cafe from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the release date, featuring snacks, prizes, and a live goat for children to pet.
