Author Todd Foley expands storytelling into film

Todd Foley, a creative writer based in the Cowichan Valley, is transitioning his storytelling focus toward the film world. Originally from the San Juan Islands, Foley moved to British Columbia for university and eventually settled on Vancouver Island to pursue a slower pace of life.

With a background in professional writing, communications, and political science, Foley has spent 17 years working in public relations and marketing. However, his primary passion remains fiction. After facing challenges with traditional publishing, he turned to self-publishing, beginning with his first novel, ‘Eastbound Sailing’.

Foley has since authored five novels, which are available through Amazon and Volume One Books in Duncan. His work is influenced by classic prose and modern minimalist films.
