Authorities arrest suspects in separate infant death investigations

In Los Angeles, a woman was arrested after the body of a baby, estimated to be between 4 and 6 months old, was discovered in a trash container in the Central-Alameda neighborhood. The Los Angeles Police Department reported the discovery on a Monday night near East 52nd Street. The infant was transported to a local hospital where death was confirmed. The case is being investigated as a homicide.

In Bello, Colombia, an 18-year-old woman has been sent to prison following the death of a 7-month-old infant. The Attorney General's Office is investigating the woman for aggravated homicide, alleging that physical abuse and blows caused the child's death. The local municipal administration expressed support for the judicial decision to prioritize the case.
