Authorities capture wolf in Greece following attack; private jet lands safely in Ohio
In Greece, authorities have successfully captured a female wolf linked to an attack on a 4-year-old child in Polichni, Thessaloniki. The animal, weighing 24.5 kg, was found in a severely emaciated state with a mutilated rear left limb. Following an operation involving the Thessaloniki Forestry Service, the LIFE Wild Wolf program, and the environmental organization Kallisto, the wolf was removed for safety reasons due to its repeated presence in inhabited areas.
In the United States, a NetJets Cessna Citation made an emergency landing at Akron-Canton Airport in Ohio after its nose landing gear failed to deploy. The aircraft had departed from Washington Dulles International Airport. Despite the malfunction, the two pilots landed safely without injury.
